While in Bandon we spent quite a bit of time in and around Face Rock Beach there is so much to see and explore especially when the tides are low. Several kinds of sea life live on the rocks, I was amazed at how many different colors and species we could see. My favorite part though was all the caves that had been carved into the giant rocks along the water’s edge,  like secret hideaways. I always get a little nervous going in and out of them though because with my luck the tide would come back in and I would be stuck. Luckily though that was not the case on this cold Sunday morning. The tide had gone out fairly far and we were treated with the full beauty of this cave I took my chances and wandered through it taking in the unique designs on the rocks and watching the sea life scramble around.

I snapped several photos of this cave at different water levels and from different angles, it looks so mysterious I just loved it. My little monkey loved running in and out of the caves and hiding away to get a break from the relentless wind. One thing is for certain if you are looking for a location to relax, unwind and enjoy delicious food then you should come to Bandon. The town is quaint but still provides plenty of opportunity for adventure and relaxation without being overwhelming. We stayed at a wonderful inn that overlooked the town and was within walking distance of most restaurants and shops, and a 5-10 minute drive to the beaches, and other scenic outlooks.

  • We loved our time at the Bandon Inn it was quaint, friendly and comfortable. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about what to do, where to eat,
